Killerton Park Parkland Plan
We were recently commissioned by the National Trust to prepare cost options for undertaking works at the grade II* listed Killerton Park in Devon proposed in the estate's Parkland Plan, which we had prepared whilst working at LUC.
The Plan highlighted the importance of the 140 years of joint working between the famous Veitch nurserymen and the estate's owners, the Acland family, which not only resulted in a designed landscape of great significance but also a plant collection that influenced parks and gardens throughout the country. The client group were unanimous in their support for the ambitious proposals set out within the Plan, which aims to return deer to the park, to restore historic drives and extensive parkland planting, and to reveal the site's many remarkable features through a series of historic stories and journeys.
We are shortly to be commissioned by the Trust to undertake their FEP survey and HLS application.
