Wiltshire Historic Landscape Assessment

We were appointed by Wiltshire County Council to prepare an addendum for the county's recently completed ‘Historic Landscape Assessment for the Wiltshire Core Strategy’.  Our report provided robust and defensible evidence to assess the heritage landscape impacts of proposed strategic site allocations set out in the draft Wiltshire Core Strategy.  Specifically, the study considered the impact of the proposed development sites on: the prehistoric landscape, including an assessment of known and unknown archaeology in the local vicinity; the setting of individual scheduled monuments in the local area; the setting of historic designed parks and gardens; the setting of key views in and out of the settlements identified for change; local historic farmsteads.
